Program Description“Sickle Cell Trait: What You Need to Know” is a one CE enduring (also known as Home Study) meant to increase health care provider awareness of the risk factors and effective counseling for Individuals with Sickle Cell Trait (SCT). This course is available to health care providers across all branches of the military, as it is available via the Joint Knowledge Online website.In 2022 the course underwent revision to provide more service specific direction for management and counseling with individuals with SCT.

Program DescriptionCare of the female sailor requires education on specific women’s health issues. The Women’s Health Seminar is a 2 day, live, Navy-specific virtual women’s health training program. It is specifically designed for operational clinicians including General Medical Officers, Flight Surgeons, Undersea Medical Officers, Operational Medical Officers, and Independent Duty Corpsmen. This seminar will focus on basic, deckplate-level women’s health concerns and specifically address medical readiness topics.

Program DescriptionThis is a training for military providers facilitated by the TBI champion and/or local Regional Education Coordinator (REC). The presentation is a combination of didactic lecture, group discussion, and case scenarios. This training will provide information about the updated Progressive Return to Activity (PRA) Clinical Recommendation (CR) to DoD providers. Providers will use this knowledge to progress patients through the stages of the updated PRA protocol.

Program DescriptionCAOHC approved Military Representatives will provide an 8hr workshop for hearing conservation professionals seeking certification or re-certification as Course Directors. The Workshop will take place virtually through MS Teams on 9 March 2023 from 0800 - 1700 EST. CD certification is required to train and certify hearing technicians conducting surveillance audiometry across the Department of Defense as part of the Service Hearing Conservation Program.
