Program Description: This will be a training introducing the principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for military behavioral health providers to include, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Professional Counselors and psychiatric nurses. Training will be held on May 30, 2024 for employees of the Department of Behavioral medicine in South Korea.

This hybrid course will require health care professionals to engage with 3-7 modules a week related to research theory and practice in preparation for a small group practical exercise to identify a research problem, create a research team and apply methodology. Many junior Army Medical Specialist Corps (AMSC) are interested in conducting clinical research that moves their profession forward in a meaningful way. However, most of these officers lack the knowledge and competence to engage in research due to a lack of familiarity with the topic and how to get started in their current position.
