2025 Management of Burn Trauma
This course features didactic sessions and clinical simulations covering: anatomy/physiology of skin, burn/wound assessment and management, emergency burn & trauma care in the military population, complications with burn trauma, nutrition concerns with burn population, rehabilitation management of burn injuries, surgical aspects of burn trauma and amputations, rehabilitation management of amputations, management of traumatic brain injury, critical care management, with considerations for prolonged field care and resource constraints. At the completion of this course, clinicians will gain an understanding of how to respond to initial burn injury, as well as skin functions and complexity of skin/scar management after burn injury.
Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, physician associates/physician assistants, occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, physical therapists, and physical therapist assistants. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
