Pain Care Coordinator
Program Description
This activity provides guidance specific to the Department of Defense Military Health System primary care pain care coordinators involved in patient care of acute and chronic pain.
Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for nurses. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Provide pain care coordination in the patient-centered medical home (PCMH).
- Support key self-management for pain messages to patients.
- Describe the role of the behavioral health consultant (BHC) for patients with chronic pain.
- Perform tasks in support of team naloxone goals.
