BAMC: Charge Nurse Course
This live, in-person activity is constructed to develop emerging leaders to the role of the Charge Nurse. This course introduces principles of delegation, conflict resolution, team building and resource management. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on practice in Brooke Army Medical Center’s workload management system, Clairvia; create bed board lists and move patients within Capacity Manager; and navigate through useful resources within the BAMC Intranet. Through a combination of didactic instruction, simulation exercises, and examples, nurses will have the opportunity to expand on their critical thinking and decision-making skills. Participants should leave this course empowered to problem solve effectively and manage challenging situations and individuals professionally and with optimal patient outcomes within a dynamic healthcare environment.
Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for nurses. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
